Linear ​

Create and update Linear issues automatically based on events and conditions in your data.

Prerequisites ​

  • Linear workspace access
  • Linear API key

Setup Instructions ​

Step 1: Generate Linear API Key ​

  1. Go to Linear Settings → API
  2. Create a new personal API key
  3. Copy the generated key

Step 2: Configure Destination in Datable ​

  1. Navigate to Destinations in Datable
  2. Select Linear
  3. Provide configuration:
    • Destination Name: A descriptive name
    • API Key: Your Linear API key
    • Team ID: Target Linear team
    • Project ID (optional): Default project
  4. Click Save

Configuration Options ​

  • Issue Templates: Define issue creation templates
  • Priority Mapping: Map event severity to Linear priorities
  • Label Assignment: Automatically apply labels
  • Assignment Rules: Auto-assign to team members

Troubleshooting ​

Issues Not Creating ​

  • Verify API key has necessary permissions
  • Check team and project IDs are correct
  • Review API rate limits

Missing Fields ​

  • Ensure all required Linear fields are mapped
  • Check custom field configurations
